Supporting student counsellors

Training to become a counsellor can be exciting, challenging and deeply personal.

As you learn about theories, skills and ways of working with clients, you may also find yourself discovering new things about yourself.

Student counselling offers a space where you don't have to be the counsellor.

You don't have to analyse yourself.

You don't have to have the right words.

You can simply be you.

"Lauren’s gentle humour helped turn ‘ I’m getting it wrong’  into ‘it’s ok to take risks and make mistakes’ I’m more able to slow down and support myself as I try new things"  Peter

Supporting your journey as a student counsellor

You might want support with confidence, self-doubt, relationships, boundaries or family patterns.

You may find that something from your own life is being stirred by your training or by your work with clients.

Perhaps you are questioning what kind of therapist you want to become, or finding your own voice within a particular therapeutic approach.

We can explore whatever feels important to you.

My own training is in Psychosynthesis, but I work with students from a range of counselling modalities.

I am interested in supporting you to develop greater self-awareness, trust your own experience and find a way of working that feels authentic to you.

There is no right way to become a counsellor.

Your therapeutic journey is your own.
